Who Am I?

First, thank you for visiting my site! I can’t wait to meet you and learn about what brought you here.

So, about me. Hmmm… I could bore you with an autobiography about where I was born, the jobs I’ve had and my qualifications. But, I’d rather just share a few words about what brought me here.

Just a few short years ago, I was stuck in contented misery. I didn’t know who I really was, my passions had deserted me and I was merely existing from day to day. I got really good at shooting down my dreams just as quickly as they surfaced, opting instead for the safety and security of familiarity, no matter how dull it was. But then, something happened. God happened!

Being a follower of Jesus most of my life, I will proclaim and sing from the highest mountain that God never gives up on us. I’m living proof! God created each of us uniquely and perfectly and He desires that we flourish in the beautiful creation we are. So, God and I began a journey of much prayer, journaling, listening and writing and He showed me what I’d forgotten long ago. I was created to be a writer. I was created to encourage and walk alongside others as they rediscover who God created them to be. Not that I needed any affirmation but I must share that I picked up a journal from 1999 and in it, I was talking about being a published author! I buried that dream, but God uncovered it and brought it to life!

It’s said that the best healers are those who’ve been wounded themselves. My life in contented misery has certainly taught me some great lessons, but the journey out of it, even more! It’s now my passion to use what God showed me to help others discover their unique and beautiful gifts, and how they can be used to contribute to the kingdom.

Besides helping people, I love to dance and have been dancing in some form most of my life. And, I’m living a life-long dream of choreographing and teaching a Latin dance class at a local studio! I also love cycling, hiking and hanging out with friends. Oh, and about those qualifications … I am a corporate trainer, a copywriter when needed, an MBA and a certified professional coach.  But most of all, I am a writer!
